We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Cellar Hand to join our fun and hard-working team during the 2021 vintage.

With work expected to commence next February, we are seeking casual applicants for Vintage Cellar Hands to work from February until the end of vintage around Late April/ early May. Must be prepared to work longer days for approximately 8-10 weeks during the busy vintage period.


Cupitt’s Estate has a large team of great people working across the many departments. Our wines are influenced by the traditional methods of France and Italy and have been awarded a prestigious five-star rating by James Halliday in 2017 and 2018. We produce an extensive portfolio of wines sourcing fruit from 5 different regions of NSW. Varieties produced include Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Viognier, Arneis, Fiano, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Gruner Vetliner, Pinot Noir, Gamay, Shiraz, Cabernet, Merlot, Malbec Tempranillo, Barbera and Sangiovese. Total volume is around 140 tonne per year with successful applicants working directly with the winemaker in all aspects of the winemaking process.

>Tank transfers and racking
>Filtration processes
>Barrel management
>Supervise bottling
>Red and white ferment management
>Analysis of ph, sugar and TA level
>Cleaning and sanitation operations
>Vineyard work prior to harvest, including vine management and grape assessment/analysis


>Experience of wine vintage or winery work highly favoured, but not essential
>Proven ability to work in a small team of staff carrying out multiple parts of the vintage process
>Strong teamwork and excellent communication skills
>A commitment to work safety
>Willing and able to work shift work and on weekends
>Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time and be fit to perform physical tasks
>Possess a current forklift licence
>Self motivated with initiative and the ability to problem-solve
>Good sense of humour
>Excellent time management capabilities
>Attention to detail is essential
> Driver’s Licence and own reliable transport is essential as no Public Transport is available.
> You need to have the right to live and work in Australia to apply for this role.
