Swaggers Finale and Fundraiser1 April 2019 – posted in: Event News, Restaurant
On Sunday the 31st March, the South Coast’s favourite band The Swaggers played their last gig together. Due to the overwhelming demand, the event was ticketed and the proceeds went to raising money for Jen Bowden a former Ulladull/Milton resident who is managing with Motor Neurone Disease. We also raised funds for MND NSW, an organisation that provides care and support for people and their carers affected by MND.
The event sold out very quickly, with everyone wanting their chance to have one last boogie with the mighty Swaggers and support these worthy charities!
For those who managed to secure tickets, they were not disappointed. With perfect weather conditions and a controlled number of guests, Cupitt’s could provide the perfect venue to say farewell to The Swaggers and show our love and support for Jen and her family.
The success of the day was profound both emotionally and financially. We raised over $12,000 from ticket sales and an additional $3,000 was raised by the Room Full of Love charity through raffles on the day.
Cupitt’s would like to thank the whole community for their support, The Swaggers for giving us an AWESOME show, Doin’ Alright for being a great support act, Cupitt staff for providing incredible food, wine, beer and service, the taxi drivers for getting everyone home safe and of course Mother Nature for giving us the best day possible. It was a phenomenal day that we will remember for a long time! That hill has never had so many people dancing, it truly was a hill full of love!
