Sunday Session with Monique Clare19 March 2017 – posted in: Event News

It’s Cello Time!! This Sunday we have a special performance for our Sunday Session with Monique Clare
Renegade folk cellist and singer-songwriter Monique Clare burst onto the scene in 2017, launching her debut EP as Folk Alliance Artist of the Year. She weaves earthy cello and powerful vocals in a performance that dances between darkness and light. Her diverse career has taken her as far as Afghanistan as a performer and educator, and the USA on a grant-funded professional development tour; she’s led patrons up the Glass House Mountains for mountain-top sunrise concerts; and in her secret life as a classical cellist, she performed in the Australian Youth Orchestra at the Sydney Opera House. This March she’s touring with duo partner and fellow cello-wielding singer, Patrick Pheasant.
“Her songs are intimate and soaring – both sonically and lyrically, and her stage presence is pure joy”.
– Matt Smith, Folk Alliance International
“Raw talent and inescapably honest songwriting”
