Kick Back and relax on the deck as you Join us at Cupitt’s for a Sunday Session. This Sunday we will feature Cielle from 12.30-3.30pm.
Taking to the stage a little later in life after dedicating ten years to a career as a paramedic, Cielle Montgomery is a singer/songwriter known for her captivating stage presence and ability to move audiences with her soulful, resonating sound. Raised on the land in the small country town of cooma, nsw listening to artists such as Neil Young, John Williamson, Emmylou Harris and John Denver, there was never any doubt that country music was in cielle’s blood.
Nowadays, as an artist who feels very much at home in the alt. Country / Americana / folk scene, cielle’s musical influences range from a eclectic mix of genres, and include Holly Williams, Patty Griffin, John Moreland, Bonnie Raitt, Alison Krauss, The Wailin’ Jennys, Bernard Fanning, Shane Nicholson, Norah Jones, Brandi Carlile and Many, Many More….
2015 was a busy and successful year for Cielle, with performances at the Tamworth country music and hats off to country festivals, as well as, attendances at the highly acclaimed CMAA Academy of country music and dag sheep station singer/songwriters retreat, where she was fortunate enough to be mentored by industry leaders such as Lyn Bowtell, Tamara Stewart, Aleyce Simmonds, Lachlan Bryan, Allan Caswell & Amber Lawrence.
Cielle has also been busily collaborating and co-writing with a range of incredible artists including Felicity Urquhart, Karl Broadie And Kevin Bennett.
Cielle’s debut all-acoustic offering “walking free”, produced by one of australia’s most respected musicians, Glen Hannah, is right at home in the alt. Country / folk / Americana scene and features some of the country’s finest instrumentalists. Recorded almost entirely “live” at the renowned music cellar on the NSW Central Coast, featuring 6 original tracks; “Walking Free” is out now!!!
