Cupitt Craft Brewers are a  NSW South Coast Brewery.   Family owned, we take pride in producing outstanding beer in a beautiful part of the world.   We have a deep respect for the immense history and strong traditions of brewing, but don’t let that get in the way of exploring new styles and flavours. The character is paramount, as is balance, and we revel in perfecting classic styles as much as we have fun pushing the boundaries of beer.
Our brewery was established in 2014 after Wally and Tom Cupitt had dreamed for many years about opening one alongside the existing winery and restaurant.   Before Wally started making wine, he was a fanatic home brewer and honed his brewing skills with a work experience stint at the 4 Pines Brewery in Manly. Tom’s passion for craft beer stems from his time living in London, where he fell in love with traditional ales and lively beer culture. Together with Head Brewer Liam Jackson, they continue to make beer that they enjoy drinking.  All our beer is produced on the Cupitt family property and is sold almost exclusively here at our restaurant and casual bar. We hope you visit and enjoy the brews as much as the views.

Our Brewery is not open to the public (except via the behind-the-scenes Tour + Taste Experience), but our Cupitt Craft Brewers beer selection is available to sample at the Breezeway Bar. We have five keg draught beer taps and one cask ale handpump beer to ensure there’s a great selection on offer.

Tasting Paddles are available and include a choice of 4 beers for $14 (equivalent to 1 pint).

Open from Wednesday – Sunday at from 10 am until 5 pm.

We do have cans and bottles of some of our beers available. Drop into our Cellar Door to purchase.

We are currently also available from the following venues and bottleshops:

 Hibiscus Wit
– Kolsch
– Hop Harvest Ale
– Smoked Porter
– Pale Ale (375ml can)
– Cupitt Mild (Handpump)

Cupitt Hibiscus Wit (5.2% ABV, 15 IBU)
A Belgian style wheat beer, infused with Rose Hibiscus and Indian coriander. Blush pink and very refreshing, with floral notes and hints of citrus.

Kolsch (4.8% ABV,  23 IBU)
Pale Straw in colour, with delicate fruity aromas and a smooth crisp mouthfeel. Soft and malty on the palate with a refreshing bitterness to finish. A very clean German ale.

Hop Harvest Ale 2018 (4.9% ABV, 25 IBU)
We headed down to Ryefield Hops in Bemboka to select and pick fresh Cascade and Chinook, which we threw into this American style amber ale the following day. Adding all the fresh hops at the end of boil has resulted in a distinct, unique hop flavour combining earthy and some leafy notes with the citrus and pine often associated with these varieties.

India Pale Ale (6.5% ABV, 60 IBU) – available in can
Classic West Coast style India Pale Ale with plenty of pine, citrus and tropical notes. A balanced malt backbone with a bold, bitter finish.

Smoked Porter (6.4% ABV, 40 IBU)
The distinct smoke character in this beer comes from the addition of barley malt that has been smoked over Manuka wood in New Zealand. This smokiness marries with the classic chocolate notes typifying a porter beer, and is underlined by a strong-for-style alcohol strength.

Cupitt Mild (Hand Pump) (4.4% ABV, 19 IBU)
This traditional ale presents with a mousse-like head and a silky, creamy mouthfeel thanks to its serving method. Aromas of toffee dominate from the heavy-handed use of caramelised malts, with dried fruit like esters also apparent, produced by the British ale yeast used.
