This is simply the best way to experience the Cupitt offering. The tour and taste experience includes a guided tour of the property with our head winemaker and also a sampling of our wine, beer and cheese products.
The journey starts in our beautiful vineyard where we will explain about the varieties grown on the property, the grape growing process and how and when we harvest. Our next stop is in our barrel room hidden under the hillside where we will talk about the fermentation process and the various decisions made by a winemaker when crafting each wine. You will enjoy a tasting of some of our boutique wines.
After the touring the underground cellar you will emerge in our Kitchen Garden. This is a unique garden designed specially not only to produce many of the fruits, herbs and vegetables that will be used in the restaurant but also to aid in the sustainability of the produce used. Being advocates of Slow Food, the Cupitt’s felt that an organic kitchen garden was one of the first steps to becoming a sustainable business.
Next you will tour our Micro Brewery. The Head Brewer will explain all about the beer making process and you will taste one of our craft ales.
At the Fromagerie you will discover the many types of cheese and how they are developed. You will also discover the flavoursome cheese made on site with a sampling of our cheese.
On conclusion of the tour, feel free to sample our current releases of wine at the cellar door or relax on the deck and take in the stunning views . Tasting paddles of our craft ales and cheese boards can be purchased, or let us know and will book you a table in the restaurant where you can enjoy our 3 course menu.
