It’s that exciting time of the year again. We have enthusiastically opened one of our most popular wine blends, which has been maturing in the bottle for 6 months, to test if it is ready for release. The verdict is in, Little Red has been tasted and excuse the jargon ‘is a cracker!‘
“This wine has the best bits of all three varieties Pinot Noir, Barbera and Nebbiolo. Nebbiolo is the spine, providing a strong core of cherry fruit and a nice amount of tannin. Attached is the blackcurrant, red berry and spice flavours of the Barbera and Pinot Noir takes over the finale providing a luxurious, satin-silk finish. Neither light nor full-bodied, Little Red evolves across the palate as each variety vies for attention. The unconventional set of tannins, courtesy of the blend of varieties, are youthful and grippy. It has a juicy finish with bundles of flavour.
This is sure to fly out the Cellar Door this Spring” Tom Cupitt.
