Fiano is nutty and textural wine with floral and honeyed notes, spice and tropical fruit flavours. The acidity is soft and the fruit generous Between its inciting aromas, flavours of hazelnut and grippy textures, Fiano is a wine worth trying! It works well with seafood – baked fish, and shellfish. It’s also perfect with vegetarian pasta dishes because the acidity in the wine offsets the richness of cream-based sauces and complements the acidity of tomato-based recipes.
The Cupitt 2019 Fiano went through wild yeast fermentation and, to give texture, left on lees in a mix of stainless steel tanks and oak casks. This full-bodied wine has structure and character and tastes of tropical fruit, crystallised citrus, honey and spice with a very appealing long lingering finish.
