An aromatic Pinot Gris that shows lovely texture across the palate. Ripe pear, cooked apple and spice add to this incredibly complex, textured Pinot Gris.
Grape are grown in cool climate on a vineyard situated between 860-900m elevation on the undulating slopes of Mt Canobolas. The Pinto Gris FVD1V7 Clone is planted on an easterly aspect to maximise on the morning sun.
A multi-layered wine displaying varietal characters of ripe pear, cooked apple, honey and spice aromatics. Those varietal characters following through to a richly textured palate combining with cool climate acidity to give a clean fresh lengthy finish.
“While this winery is tucked behind the charming South Coast town of Milton, the fruit is sourced inter-regionally from the South Coast, the Alpine foothills of Tumbarumba, Canberra-ish and further afield in Orange, as with this gris. Baking spice, apple pie and Asian pear define the flavour spectrum. The texture is nicely phenolic” 91pts – Halliday Wine Companion 2021 South Coast NSW Winery Brewery Wedding Venue Restaurant Cottage
