Provenance is taken from the French word meaning ‘origin’ and it plays a vital role in our wine making, which seeks to capture enhance and preserve the influences of the place the wine comes from.  These Pinot Noir grapes are grown in the shaly sandstone soils at an elevation of 850m in Wamboin on the Eastern edge of the Canberra District wine region.  This soil has produced exceptional fruit which has allowed us to make this savoury wine with both finesse and structure.

Fermented with wild yeasts using 30% whole bunches and matured for 24 months in French oak hogsheads. The result is a rich savoury style palate with dry herb, forest floor and earthy characters, very Burgundian in style.  It will continue to develop with careful cellaring.
