This variety has found a new home at Young, in the cool climate Hilltops region of NSW. The red granite soil is perfect for accentuating the luscious flavours of red currant and black cherry. Matured in Hungarian oak, this wine has hints of spice with soft silky tannins and great length; an interesting and deeply satisfying wine.
Barbera tastes both rich and light-bodied; it is the quintessential ‘wine of the people,’ and it’s meant to be enjoyed young.
