New Regional Work Opportunities6 July 2020 – posted in: Job

With our International borders shut, regional tourism is booming. The South Coast has always been a popular summer destination and is now predicted to be a popular year-round destination.

While COVID has had significant economic impacts on the tourism and hospitality industry; regional tourism is predicted to boom over the coming months. Australians are holidaying at home this year and the South Coast with its natural beauty, beautiful coastlines and great food and wine will benefit from these extra visitors.

At Cupitt’s Estate, we need to grow our team in many areas of the business to cope with the additional demand. We have several roles on offer within our friendly team, with a variety of roles on offer in this dynamic and growing business.

Have you been thinking about a sea-change or a new career? Maybe this is the perfect opportunity to make the changes you’ve been dreaming about during lockdown.

We have listed some of the many advantages of working on the South Coast.

  1. A less hectic lifestyle. Wake up and go for a swim before work? A walk along the beach? A paddle on the lake? Learn to surf like you’ve been hoping for years? The chance to “reset”, a change of pace, finally finding that work-life balance you’ve wanted for ages.
  2. Community. We do not doubt that you have a sense of community where you currently reside, however, we can hand on heart say this is one of the most resilient, supportive and kind communities to live within. At Cupitt’s Estate, you get the chance to meet many people and integrate into the local fold quickly. Our team pride themselves on looking after each other and helping newcomers settle quickly into the community.
  3. Easy access. No more traffic jams, no more long queues at the local supermarket or for school drop-offs and no long trips to and from work. If that’s not all a sell, we don’t know what else is!
  4. Costs. Often the cost of living in regional areas is lower, mainly around real estate as prices have not been affected at the same rate by property booms as much as in urban areas.

The roles we have available include two positions within the administration team, including an Office Manager (full-time) and Administrative Assistant (part-time). These roles will suit candidates with solid communication, computer and customer service skills.

Our Front of House Team is seeking friendly servers of varying experience levels in all areas – bar, restaurant servers and outdoor dining. We are willing to train people with the right attitude. If you are a friendly, positive, hard worker with an interest in food, beer and wine and a genuine love of working with people, please get in touch.

Our Kitchen Brigade is seeking kitchen hands, cooks and a Chef De Partie to work across all areas of the business. The ability to work well in a team and under pressure and a high standard of hygiene is necessary to join this team.
