Autumn is the perfect time to reconnect with your garden and prepare for Winter Harvest. At Cupitt’s we are committed to sustainable gardening and have enlisted Adrian Baida of My Square Metre to design and maintain our Kitchen Garden. We want to share Adrian’s experience with you in a memorable garden workshop Saturday 25th May from 9.30am-Noon.
-What plants and pests are in season and how to adapt and work with these seasonal changes.
-How to replenish and maintain healthy soil using nature based techniques.
-How to rotate your crops and design your plantings to make the most of your gardening space.
The Workshop will include
– Autumn/ Winter Heroes – Growing and maintaining Broccolini, Cabbages and Cauliflowers
– How to replenish and maintain healthy soil using nature-based techniques
– How to rotate your crops and design your plantings to make the most of your gardening space…for a continuous Winter crop.
– How to maintain your garden crop throughout the season, including natural fertilisers and watering regimes in relation to winter crops.
Your Instructor Adrian Baiada is an Urban Farmer and Educator who combined his passion for real food and over 14 years of experience in community engagement and environmental sustainability to create My Square Metre. My Square Metre loves working with communities and individuals to help get them grow their own food. Adrian holds a Bachelors Degree with Honours in Landscape Management and Conservation and Certificates in Biological Agriculture, Permaculture and a Cert. 4 Training and Assessment.
