Event Details

We are very excited to announce Josh Rawiri will be playing another Sunday Session at Cupitt’s on Sunday.

Josh is an Australian performer/singer song writer recognised for his heartfelt and dynamic live genre-fusion of folk, soulful blues, deep roots rock, and reggae.

He is currenlty touring with his band Josh Rawirir and The Invisible Vibrations and you can check out there new single here

Josh’s debut album ‘If you need Love’ spurred him into seven years of solid regional touring, building a widespread following across coastal Australia.

The second album ‘Molecular Teleportation’ was released 09/11 through MGM – ‘Feel Good’ and ‘War on Religion’, first two consecutive singles off the album, received widespread radio play across the nation with the highly acclaimed film clips taking out five silver Australian music film awards.

With influences such as Canned heat, Ben Harper, Led Zeppelin, The Black Keys, Bob Marley and a plethora of American blues artists, Josh has developed a unique sound harnessed by his expertise on the dobro, slide, resonator, cigar box, acoustic and
electric guitars.

In 2013 Josh formed three piece band ‘Moroccan Knights’ with a debut self tited EP launched in July. The band’s sound plays between hearty deep south rock and
electric blues dipped in the 70’s. Within one month of the band officially kicking off, Moroccan Knights (Josh Rawiri, Hayden Joyce and Kris McDonald) had played
packed out debut festival and headliner shows, toured the east coast three times, had their music placed exclusively as the soundtrack of ‘Riptide’ international summer DVD and crafted a rapidly growing repertoire of original songs.

Moroccan Knights has evolved into a creative collaboration between different musicians with Josh as frontman. The new single, expected to be out in September,
features Jono Colliver on bass (Vance Joy), Adrian Calvano on Organ (Buddha in a chocolate box) and Hayden Joyce on Drums (MK Original Member).
