CUPITT’S FUND-RAISE MONEY FOR MILTON RFS11 October 2019 – posted in: Winery, Craft Ales, Restaurant, Uncategorized

Cupitt’s hosted a live music event on the Sunday of October Long Weekend with music from local band Brothers accompanied by great food and wine to raise money for the Milton Rural Fire Brigade. The busy long weekends are an opportunity for Cupitt’s to raise money for local charities. “Cupitt’s experiences a high influx of visitors every long weekend so we decided to ensure that guests have a good experience we need to control the number of visitors to Cupitt’s. This presented an opportunity to raise money for local charities and people in need. We selected Milton Rural Fire Service as these brave and dedicated men and women are partially self-funded and do an amazing job keeping our community safe.”

Sunday’s event raised a total of $6478.05. Annette Stevens, Community Engagement Officer for the Milton Rural Fire Brigade said “We are extremely grateful to the customers, staff and management of Cupitt’s Winery and Restaurant for their fund-raising efforts for our brigade.  All monies raised will be used to purchase vital fire-fighting equipment which will improve the capability of our volunteers to serve the community.” The Milton RFS volunteers came out to the event and helped out with parking. Kids enjoyed photographs with the fire engine and could personally meet the volunteers and chat with them about what they do.

Libby Cupitt echoes the comments “thank you to the customers for supporting the event, the staff at Cupitt’s for a great day and Brothers Band for putting on a great show”. The next fundraiser for Cupitt’s will be Sunday the 29 December raising money for the Mollymook Surf Life Saving Club. Tickets include live music from Jono Collins and a festival tumbler or beer glass. Tickets are on sale now through the Sticky Tickets Website
