Craft Ales are Now at Cupitt’s25 February 2015 – posted in: Uncategorized

Cupitt's now brewing craft ale

A selection of Craft Ales is now available at Cupitt’s. For years Wally and Tom Cupitt have been keen to pair local produce with beer and are well on the way to opening the doors to Cupitt’s Craft Ales, a boutique brewery being set up in a large shed on the property.

Both the boys are Passionate about changing the reputation of craft ales and  are creating brews that will pair well with local food, including oyster stout, American style amber, India pale ale and a flavorsome lager, using German malts and American hops.

Wally’s interest in beer began whist he was living in the Uk where he was very much inspired by their culture. He followed his interest and love of beer when he went to work at Four Pines Brewery in Manly on his return to Australia. He particularly enjoyed the unique character that each area imparted in the flavor of it’s beer.

While the beer would initially be produced only in kegs, Tom said he hoped to have growlers and smaller bottles available down the track.

The brewery will be the smallest commercial operation of its type in the country.
