Cupitt’s Christmas Gift Guide11 December 2020 – posted in: Uncategorized
December is here, can you believe it? The time for giving is also here. It can be tricky to come up with ideas for thoughtful presents that you know people will love to receive and enjoy. We have a range of ideas that would suit any foodie, wine lover or Hop Head.
Buy the wine you know they will Love
Cupitt’s has a variety of wine to suit most people’s taste. If you’re overwhelmed by choice, we recommend doing a bit of research about what they like to try. If you’ve only ever seen this person enjoy Shiraz, play it safe and give them a Shiraz to remember; try the famous Cupitt’s Dusty Dog Shiraz. If your gift recipient is someone who likes to stretch their palates and try something a bit more left-field, we have some excellent alternate varieties including Tempranillo, Nebbiolo, Barbera, Pinot Gris, Viognier.
If you are not sure what they drink but know they enjoy wine you can’t go wrong with a bottle of Rosie’s Rosé – the perfect summer wine, pairing beautifully with fresh prawns and sunshine.
Another option is to buy wine that you love, think of it like you are purchasing a gift for yourself. Choose one of your go-to favourites or pop into the Cellar Door and get our team to guide you to find the perfect wine. The best bit is it is highly likely they will want to share it with you. You can tell them about your visit to Cellar Door, the story behind the wine, why you love the variety, and hopefully they will love it as much as you do.
Finally, you can always buy a Cupitt voucher, and they can choose their wine adventure.
For the avid Foodie
We all know that person who simply can’t resist posting a photo of every single meal on Instagram, or plans their holidays around restaurants rather than sights, or brings multiple dishes to a dinner party and asks the host where every ingredient is sourced from?
We call these people foodies, and if you know one, we think they will love a culinary escape at Cupitt’s Estate.
Cupitt’s prides itself on its Estate grown and made produce. The Wine and Cheese Lovers Experience starts with a wine and cheese exploration on the lawn and then moves into the dining room where our chefs take all the seasonal produce and turn it into beautiful dishes. Alternatively, the Sunset Experience exchanges wine and cheese for cocktails and a gourmet dinner enjoying our tasting menu.
We also make a range of delicious hampers jam-packed with Cupitt produce including artisan cheese, wine and beer all made in Ulladulla and other regional products. Our hampers are available from the Cellar Door or contact the team to discuss your options HERE.
Beer Gifts for the Beer Lover
Cupitt’s has been crafting beer on the Estate for six years, opening in December 2014, making Cupitt’s the longest-running brewery the Shoalhaven. Our beers focus on both traditional ales and exciting seasonal beers. A brewery tour is part of our Beer and Cheese Experience for Two is a chance to sample the Brewers Beer Tasting Selection accompanied with the artisan Cupitt Fromagerie cheese board.
Do they like to Shake It?
We do! Everyone needs to have the right tools available for when they have that desire to shake up a cocktail or two. Visit our Cellar door for a range of supplies including giant ice cubes, martini glasses and cocktail kits.
Cheese Lovers, we have plenty for you.
This year we are stocking not only your favourite cheese but a cheese knife to suit every cheese and a variety of cheese boards.
We hope these suggestion are helpful, but if we didn’t quite nail it, please follow up with an enquiry and our helpful team will provide some further ideas for you. Our Value Gift certificates can be used across the board at Cupitt’s for dining, experiences, beer, wine, cheese, accommodation, bar menu, merchandise; so always make an easy gift for anyone who loves coming down the South coast to the beautiful Ulladulla, Milton, Mollymook region.
