Cupitt’s in Ulladulla were finalists in three categories at the Shoalhaven Business Awards held at the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre on Friday 31st August. The business successfully won the award for the categories Excellence in Tourism & Hospitality and Excellence in Sustainability and took out the top prize for Business of the Year.

“We strive to create unique experiences at Cupitt’s and we take particular pride in providing outstanding service and delicious farm-to-table food, wine and beer” said Libby Cupitt, Customer Experience Manager of Cupitt’s. “With wine, beer and cheese made on site and a substantial organic produce grown in our market garden, our Head Chef Russell Chinn and his team create memorable dishes. This is teamed with warm friendly service for a one-of-a-kind experience. Our diverse offering is constantly evolving; giving visitors a reason to continue to return time and time again. We are truly grateful to our loyal customers and to be honored by the Business Chamber for our contribution in the region.”

Cupitt’s success in the Excellence in Sustainability means they are now finalists in the Illawarra Business Awards which will be celebrated on 19th October 2018. “A couple of years ago we made a conscious decision to ramp up our sustainability commitments so it is wonderful to be recognised in this category.” said Libby Cupitt, Customer Experience Manager of Cupitt’s. “At Cupitt’s we have plenty of opportunity to capture energy and put it back into the soils; ensuring all organic matter does not end up in landfill but also benefits the earth. Our team have really embraced our projects in the market garden and waste reduction and the results are something to be proud. This award provides more incentive to continue to innovate in this area and be leaders in the field to help combat climate change.”

Cupitt’s began eleven years ago as a winery, restaurant and cellar door. The offering has expanded in the last few years to also include a micro- brewery and cheese making facility. The business is now open seven days a week and you can enjoy daily tours to go behind the scenes. There is something for every budget and taste, with both a restaurant and casual menu offered daily and complimentary wine tasting.
