Beer Sessions – Barleywine – 27 July2 July 2019 – posted in: Craft Ales, Uncategorized

Cupitt Craft Brewers is bringing a series of Beer Sessions to the Event Schedule at Cupitt’s. These Beer Sessions will be an opportunity to dive deep into a range of beer-related topics and styles. The Session this season is Barleywine held on Saturday 27 July 2019 at 6pm- 7.30pm.

Barleywine is one of the absolute favourite styles of Head Brewer Liam Jackson. One of the notable characteristics of the style is its high alcohol content: ranging from 7%-9% (by volume) and up.

However, that is not why he enjoys it; rather it is because these are more intense and complex ales made for sipping and reflection, much like a cognac or a Scotch. What better time of year to approach it than winter, when the nights are cool and long?

Cupitt Craft Brewers is releasing their first Barleywine which has been aged for one year in Cabernet Oak Barrels. This will be one of five barleywines to sample on the evening accompanied by great conversations, Cupitt’s artisan cheese and bar snacks.

Follow the Session with a delicious dinner at Cupitt’s Kitchen and receive 10% off your bill (up to $35).
