  • iAccelerate Dinner with a Conscience

    We took part in the iAccelerate Dinner with a Conscience which was held on Tuesday 7th August 2018.

    The iAccelerate Dinner with a Conscience was a unique collaboration between some of Wollongong’s best chefs, who are passionate about showcasing local food. The one night only menu was produced, sourced and cooked with a conscience with produce from regional suppliers.

    New Release – Cupitt Co-ferments

    Cupitt Craft Brewers have released two experimental products – co-fermented beers (a fusion of beer and wine). These drinks can be purchased in 500ml bottles in our cellar Door or online store or you can try them on tap at Cupitt’s for a limited time.

    The Arneis Coferment, is a beer fermented with Belgian ale yeast and Arneis grape juice. One day into the fermentation with a Belgian ale yeast we added 30% Arneis grape juice, pressed that morning in our winery. Initial aromatics are of esters and spices associated with Belgian yeast, followed by Arneis characters of melon, pear and almond. A fruit-filled body and subtle acidity entice you back and remind you that this is not a typical beer.

    The Tempranillo Coferment, is a beer fermented with Tempranillo grape must and wild yeast. To create this wild union of beer and wine we added partially fermented Tempranillo (30%) to the wort and let it continue fermentation with native grape yeast. Tempranillo, sourced from the Hilltops region, adds rich colour and subtle tannins, complemented by raspberry, cherry, dark chocolate and hints of spice.

  • National Tourism Award Bronze winner 17 Wineries Distilleries and Breweries

    Cupitt’s Winery awarded Bronze at National Tourism Awards

    Cupitt’s has picked up a bronze trophy for the Wineries, Breweries and Distilleries category at the 2017 National Tourism Awards
    The awards were held at the Optus Stadium in Perth on Friday 24th February 2017. Cupitt’s was the only business in the category that is both a Winery and Brewery.

    Cupitt’s Winery founder Rosie Cupitt says, “It was an honor to win Gold at the NSW Awards and we were overjoyed to receive a Bronze at National Level. We are humbled to be in the group of medal winners behind Sandalford Wines in WA and Bright Brewery in Victoria, both of these businesses are doing exceptional things for Australian Tourism in our category. It is wonderful that the National Awards can shine a light on our wonderful region too.”

    Rosie also acknowledges the contribution of the team at Cupitt’s and said ‘it is fabulous when our industry acknowledges the hard work our team puts in; we have such a dedicated group of professionals working with us to provide an outstanding customer experience and without their commitment to constantly improving our offer and services these accolades would not be received.”  

    Mrs. Cupitt added, “We would also like to thank all of customers and people who visit our winery and brewery. Our business would not be able to survive without you!”

    Cupitt’s recognise that the awards submission process has helped identify areas of improvement in their business and they are looking forward to entering the awards again later in the year.
