There isn’t a question we haven’t heard before, so we hope the below Frequently Asked Questions will assist your Cupitt’s query. Please feel free to contact us for anything unanswered or further details.

Does your venue offer BYO? 

No, we do not. However, we are fully licensed.

Do I have to make a reservation to get a table?

Cupitt’s Estate does take ‘Walk-Ins’ in the restaurant. However, we cannot guarantee availability and strongly advise making a booking; particularly on weekends where it is popular or we host many private events. Otherwise, we operate 7 days a week on a walk-in basis for our outdoor casual/bar menu. 

Do you have parking? 

Yes, we do have parking. 

Can we get a taxi easily? 

Yes, Milton Ulladulla Taxis can be contacted on 4455 1862. They are now taking bookings online. Uber has reportedly commenced operation in Ulladulla. 

Do you charge entry prices for the live music on the lawns? 

We host live music on the lawn every Sunday of the year from 12.30pm to 3.30pm. Most Sundays there is no entry fee. Entry fees are charged when we have a ticketed fundraising event operating. These days are generally the 29 December, 1 January, 26 January, 12 April (Easter Sunday), 7th June (Sunday June Long Weekend),  4th October (Sunday Oct Long Weekend). Prices vary depending on the day, time and entertainment. Ticket information can be found on our What’s On page of our website approx 2 months prior to the event date.

Can I be guaranteed a specific table in a restaurant?

We are unable to guarantee specific tables, however, we can make a special request and the team will do their best to accommodate on the day.

Can you bring your dog to Cupitt’s Estate?

Dogs that are socialised are welcome to Cupitt’s Estate. We have a dog here that is free-roaming, however, we ask that you keep your dog on a lead. We also ask you to clean up after your dog. Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant for health and hygiene regulations. 

Is there a fee to do a Wine Tasting?

There is no cost to taste at Cellar Door for Wine Club Members and guests dining in the restaurant dining room.

However, if you’re visiting for the casual offering or to sample our wines there is a cost $5 per person; this is redeemable with bottle purchase.  Groups for more than 7 people there is a $10 cost and group bookings must be made in advance.

Can I drink my purchases from the Cellar Door on site?

No, wine, beer and cheese sales from the Cellar Door are for take-away only. Please purchase all food and drink from the bar to be consumed on site.

What is your cancellation policy?

How do I cancel a restaurant reservation for under 10 guests?

If you would like to change or cancel your reservation, you can do this via The Fork booking confirmation email or SMS you would have received on booking. Otherwise,  please contact our reservations office on (02) 4455 7888. We hope that you will be able to join us on another occasion soon.

Cupitt’s Estate Refund and Cancellation Policy for Group Bookings (over 10 adults)

Final guest numbers, style of service and special dietary requirements must be confirmed 10 days prior to your booking date. In the event that the selection of the style of service is not made within the required timeframe, Cupitt’s Estate reserve the right to make the selection on the customer’s behalf. Booking Deposits will be refunded for cancellations more than 10 days prior to the booking. Any guests who do not attend the reservation after final guest numbers are given or “No Shows” will be charged an additional amount of $40 per person which will be added to the restaurant bill. If you would like to change or cancel your reservation, please contact our team on (02) 4455 7888. 

Do you charge extra on public holidays?

Please note there is a 10% surcharge added to bills for public holidays.

Do you charge fees to use credit card?

No, we are a credit card fee-free business. 

What should I do if I have a severe and dangerous allergy?

Every effort will be made to accommodate you and your guests, some allergies are difficult for us to cater for given the nature of the food we serve. While we endeavour to cater for your specific dietary requirements, we cannot guarantee 100% against cross-contamination in the kitchen. So if your allergy is very dangerous, we recommend not taking the risk. All guests with an allergy are reminded to bring their epi-pen as an additional precaution and please advise us at the time of booking.

Who can I speak to about alleged food poisoning?

We take this issue very seriously. All information regarding the incident will be recorded and escalated to management for review.  Please call us on (02) 4455 7888 or email us at [email protected] so that one of our team may discuss this with you.

Can I BYO a cake to your venue?

We hire a full team of dedicated chefs including a pastry chef to create some of the best desserts in the region. We want you and your guests to experience our desserts as it is part of the Cupitt’s Estate experience. This is why we offer complimentary celebration decorating on request (eg. “Happy Birthday Emma”). If you choose to bring something for celebration purposes but still order desserts, there is no charge.
If you replace our desserts with outside food, we still need to ensure it is cut and served at the standards of the restaurant and this requires labour, we charge an $8 per person cakeage fee. 

A cake for celebration purposes can be made. It can be served additional to the dessert course or can be taken home. The cost is $50 for our signature chocolate cake with berries and a Happy Birthday message.  We request 72 hours advance notice for cakes, however, we may be able to accommodate with less notice on inquiry. Prepayment is required for cake orders. 

Alternatively, a “Happy Birthday” message can be included on a dessert plate in the restaurant on the chosen dessert. This needs to be arranged the day prior. Please note, this is not suitable for all dishes (i.e. Cheeseboards). 

A celebration cake can be brought to the casual dining area with prior approval. We will charge a cakeage fee of $3.50 per person. We will not cut and plate the dessert but we will give you the tools to do so yourself. A celebration cake can also be ordered with our restaurant team in advance. 

Is Cupitt’s Estate open on Christmas Day and Boxing Day?

Cupitt’s Estate is closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, but please keep an eye on our website, in case of any changes.

Do any of your venues offer takeaway?

At this stage, we do not have a takeaway service. However, takeaway pizza orders may be possible at certain times. Please enquire at the venue. 

Do you cater for vegans and vegetarians?

Yes, we always make sure that there are vegan and vegetarian meals available on the restaurant menu.

Do you cater for people that need gluten-free options or those with celiac disease?

Yes, a lot of our entrees and main course meals are suitable. We aim for at least one dessert to be suitable as well. The cheeseboard can be made gluten free.

What are your private dining options?

Contact our events team to discuss our private dining options. 

How can I get information about holding my wedding at Cupitt’s Estate?

Contact our events team via email and we will send you a wedding package to look over. 

Do you have a service fee?

We do not have a service fee on our bills. Any tips are discretionary and are shared amongst the service team and chefs evenly. 

Do you operate two sittings?

We do our best to accommodate all dining requests, however, this is not always possible, especially during popular seating times. Our restaurant has a bar and casual dining area where you can start or conclude your dining experience.
At certain times, eg. Mothers Day, Valentines Day and Fathers Day we may offer two sittings per service, which allows us to accommodate more requests and avoid disappointment.

Lunch bookings between 12pm – 12.30pm and dinner bookings from 6pm – 7pm are for a 2 hour period. If you would like to be out earlier or have any time constraints please let us know. 

I think I have been overcharged, how can I get a refund?

Please send us an email with your name, contact email, and phone number, along with the date and time of your transaction and any other details – including payment method, or a copy of the receipt – which may assist us in locating the purchase. Our team will then investigate for you and aim to respond within 72 hours.

What do I do if I am running late for my reservation?

It is important to let us know if you are running late, as your table may be booked for another reservation after your seating. Please call us on 4455 7888 to advise delay; otherwise, we will hold the table for a period of 15 minutes.

What is the dress code for Cupitt’s Estate Restaurant?

The dress code in each of our restaurants is smart casual. However, some guests choose to dress more formally, depending on the occasion.

What is the dress code for casual dining areas? 

The dress code in our casual dining area is relaxed. Generally speaking, footwear must be worn at all times and singlets should be avoided, but please note that all guest entry in our venues is subject to the discretion of our management. 

How do I cancel my third party promoter ticket?

Please note that these are third-party issuers, so ticket holders should refer to the terms and conditions listed on their ticket, or through the relevant third-party website.

How do I join the VIP Wine Club?

There is no fee to join the VIP Wine Club. However, to join the club you do need to commit to buying 6 bottles in one transaction and subscribe to an ongoing wine delivery of three times per year (6 bottles each 4 months). All wine will be discounted by 20% on all purchases, all year round.

Flexibility on what you receive for your first half dozen – you have the option of winemakers selection, mixed white, mixed red or make your own selection. You may indicate your preferences for future cases.

Can I visit the Winery/Brewery/Cheesemaking facility? 

Yes, but only on a guided tour. The Tour and Taste Experience includes a guided tour of the property visiting the vineyard, winery, brewery, kitchen gardens and fromagerie and sampling of our wine, beer and cheese products along the way. The tour is $40 per person and must be pre-booked.

Can I visit the Cellar Door Tasting room when I visit the Restaurant? 

If you are booked in for lunch, the tasting room is open from 10am – 5pm daily. If you are visiting the Cellar Door beforehand, please make time so you arrive at your reservation on time.

For dinner reservations, the Cellar Door is closed. We do have a Sunset Tour on Friday and Saturday nights which tastes 6 wines in the wine cave (pre-bookings required) $30 per person. Book here for the sunset tour.

Do you offer cheese tasting?

Cheese tasting is generally available on Saturdays from 11am – 3pm with the cheesemaker. Often we have a cheese of the day on tasting in the Cellar Door on other days.

We have a cheese board for sale daily to be enjoyed on-site and can be ordered at the bar or restaurant. To be sure that tasting is available please call ahead 44557888. 

You can buy our range of cheeses to take home with you. Head to the Cellar Door from 10am to 5pm daily to purchase.

Can I buy wholesale wine?

Cellar Door is for retail sales only. Any wholesale or business enquiries should be directed to our Sales Manager via email.
