What days is Cupitt’s Estate open for restaurant bookings?
We are opening the restaurant Wednesday (lunch only), Thursday (lunch only), Friday & Saturday – lunch and dinner with two sittings and Sunday (lunch only). During the summer school holidays (from 27 December) we extend our trading. See HERE for details.
Can I visit casually for pizza and bar food and drinks?
Yes, are now offering our pizza and bar food menu Wednesday – Sunday. You can book a table on the lawn HERE. Bookings are 90 minutes however if there is no demand for the table you can stay longer than your 90-minute allocation. Please note that lawn bookings are entirely weather-dependent and in poor weather conditions your booking will be cancelled.
On days we are open for dinner Friday and Saturday, our casual menu is extended till 6pm. Bookings recommended.
We have tables available for Walk-ins however, there may be a waiting period before you can acquire a table. We also need to collect contact information from all seated guests, please check in using the QR code on the menus.
What if it is raining or very windy and we have a lawn booking?
Your booking will be cancelled and if there are any deposits paid this will be refunded.
What if the weather is sunny?
We cannot guarantee that all tables on the lawn will have shade, particularly as the sun moves throughout the day. Please dress for sun protection and wear a hat.
Can I arrive early for my booking for a drink or wine tasting?
Guests booked in for 12pm or 6pm can arrive early for a drink at the table. Please do not arrive early for any other booking times without contacting our office to see if there is a table available. Each table is allocated 90 minutes and we have a 15 minute cleaning time after each booking. Guests in the second sitting please should not arrive early but are welcome to stay longer than the 90-minute allocation.
Wine tasting is available by appointment only. Appointments are $10 per person and will take place in all weather conditions. To make a booking visit the Book a Table page. If you cannot find a tasting appointment we recommend booking a table and enjoying our Wine Flight. A flight of 5 wines ($25) no need to pre-book. We also have the Cheese and Wine Experience.
Will you still have live music ‘Sunday Sessions’?
We will be welcoming back live music at the venue on Sundays from February 2021.
How much is the Tasting Menu?
The menu is $85 per person and pre-payment is required, you can view our sample menu and book here.
What if I don’t eat everything on the Tasting Menu?
Please review the menu before your booking and let our staff know of any dislikes and allergies. We can accommodate most requests, with advance notice.
What is your cancellation policy?
Full refund is offered with 24-hour notice.
Is the Cellar Door Open for Wine Tasting?
We are currently offering wine tastings in the Cellar Door by appointment only. To make an appointment book here. Maximum of 6 people per group and the cost is $10 per person (refundable on purchase). Everyone is to be seated for the tasting and must check in to provide contact details.
If you cannot find an appointment at the time of your liking we do have a wine flight available at the bar. No need to pre-order, however, we do suggest you book a table as we have limited space for walk-ins.
We also have a seated Cheese and Wine Tasting Experience which is booked in advance. The experience includes 5 wines (50ml) and a cheese selection to be enjoyed on the lawn at your leisure. Spaces are limited and must be paid in advance. BOOK HERE
Takeaway wine and beer are available from the shop from 11am – 5pm or online.
I am not ready to dine in restaurants but want to enjoy the menu, are you offering takeaway?
Our hot takeaway menu is available Wednesday – Sunday lunchtime from 11.30pm – 3.30pm.
Do you have a kids menu available?
We have allocated a maximum of 5 kids per sitting for the time being. The kids menu is a choice of Spaghetti & Meatballs, Fish & Chips and Chicken & Chips with icecream & chocolate sauce for dessert.
What is on the Tasting Menu?
Here’s a sample menu. It changes fortnightly once we see what goodies are ready in our Kitchen Garden.
What staff practices are in place to prevent COVID-19?
Cupitt’s Estate staff will adhere to strict hygiene practices throughout their shift, including regular handwashing and sanitising between visiting tables. Tables and seating will be sanitised after every booking. No water bottles or salt and peppers will be on the dining room table in the restaurant dining room. Our friendly staff will provide this for you on request.
What customer practices are in place to prevent COVID-19?
Everyone has an obligation to stay at home while displaying any symptoms such as fever or coughing. Businesses have the right to refuse service and insist that anyone with these symptoms leaves the premises. We have also the following procedures in place for the protection of our staff and other patrons:
- We need to know the name, email address and contact number for every diner – please fill out our survey prior to your reservation and check-in using the COVID Registeron arrival.
- There will be hand sanitiser available outside the restaurant; please use before you enter.
- Wait for the host to take you to your seats.
- Maximum of 30 guests per table.
- The menu will be yours to keep; otherwise, it will be disposed of.
- Please do not offer a handshake or touch any of the Cupitt’s Estate staff.
- If you use the bathrooms, please use the sanitiser provided before you enter and once you exit the restrooms.
- Please physically distance yourself at 1.5m as you move around the restaurant from other guests.
- Please pay your account at the table with a credit card.
- Exit the restaurant from the ‘Exit Only’ door, not the entry door.
Patrons Rules for Covid Compliance
We’re thrilled to announce there’s been a further restriction lift. This means that the following rules are now in play:
• When inside 1 person to every 2 sqm
• When inside you must sit when drinking
• When outside 1 person to every 2 sqm
• When outside you can now stand and drink
Does your venue offer BYO?
No, we do not. However, we are fully licensed.
Do I have to make a reservation to get a table?
Cupitt’s Estate does take ‘Walk-Ins’ for dining both in the restaurant and our casual dining. However, we strongly advise booking to secure a table. If no tables are available, there is an option to sit on the grass if we have the capacity. To book a table visit HERE
Do you have parking?
Yes, we do have parking.
Can I leave my car there overnight?
Yes you are welcome to leave your car overnight. However, we cannot allow campervans with guests to stay overnight on site.
Can we get a taxi easily?
Yes, Milton Ulladulla Taxis can be contacted on 4455 1862. They are now taking bookings online. Uber is also available.
Do you charge entry prices for the live music on the lawns?
We will be hosting live music on the lawn every Sunday from February 20201 from 12.30pm to 3.30pm. Most Sundays there is no entry fee. Entry fees are charged when we have a ticketed fundraising event operating. The next event will be held Tuesday Australia Day 26 January 2021.
Can I be guaranteed a specific table in a restaurant?
We are unable to guarantee specific tables, however, we can make a special request and the team will do their best to accommodate on the day.
Can you bring your dog to Cupitt’s Estate?
Dogs that are socialised are welcome to Cupitt’s Estate. We have a dog here that is free-roaming, however, we ask that you keep your dog on a lead. We also ask you to clean up after your dog. Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant for health and hygiene regulations.
Is there a fee to do a Wine Tasting?
Yes $10 per person redeemable on purchase. There is no cost to taste at Cellar Door for Wine Club Members.
Can I drink my purchases from the Cellar Door on site?
No, wine, beer and cheese sales from the Cellar Door are for take-away only. Please purchase all food and drink from the bar to be consumed on site.

Cupitt’s Estate Refund and Cancellation Policy for Group Bookings (over 10 adults)
Final guest numbers, style of service and special dietary requirements must be confirmed 10 days prior to your booking date. In the event that the selection of the style of service is not made within the required timeframe, Cupitt’s Estate reserve the right to make the selection on the customer’s behalf. Booking Deposits will be refunded for cancellations more than 10 days prior to the booking. Any guests who do not attend the reservation after final guest numbers are given or “No Shows” will be charged an additional amount of $40 per person which will be added to the restaurant bill. Do you charge extra on public holidays?
Please note there is a 10% surcharge added to bills for public holidays.
Do you charge fees to use credit card?
No, we are a credit card fee-free business. However, the Me&U ordering system will charge fees to the user.
What should I do if I have a severe and dangerous allergy?
Every effort will be made to accommodate you and your guests, some allergies are difficult for us to cater for given the nature of the food we serve. While we endeavour to cater for your specific dietary requirements, we cannot guarantee 100% against cross-contamination in the kitchen. So if your allergy is very dangerous, we recommend not taking the risk. All guests with an allergy are reminded to bring their epi-pen as an additional precaution and please advise us at the time of booking.
Who can I speak to about alleged food poisoning?

Can I BYO a cake to your venue?
We hire a full team of dedicated chefs including a pastry chef to create some of the best desserts in the region. We want you and your guests to experience our desserts as it is part of the Cupitt’s Estate experience. This is why we offer complimentary celebration decorating on request (eg. “Happy Birthday Emma”). If you choose to bring something for celebration purposes but still order desserts, there is no charge.
If you replace our desserts with outside food, we still need to ensure it is cut and served at the standards of the restaurant and this requires labour, we charge an $8 per person cakeage fee.
A cake for celebration purposes can be made. It can be served additional to the dessert course or can be taken home. The cost is $50 for our signature chocolate cake with berries and a Happy Birthday message. We request 72 hours advance notice for cakes, however, we may be able to accommodate with less notice on inquiry. Prepayment is required for cake orders.
Alternatively, a “Happy Birthday” message can be included on a dessert plate in the restaurant on the chosen dessert. This needs to be arranged the day prior. Please note, this is not suitable for all dishes (i.e. Cheeseboards).
A celebration cake can be brought to the casual dining area with prior approval. We will charge a cakeage fee of $3.50 per person. We will not cut and plate the dessert but we will give you the tools to do so yourself. A celebration cake can also be ordered with our restaurant team in advance.
Is Cupitt’s Estate open on Christmas Day and Boxing Day?
Cupitt’s Estate is closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day for family time every year.
Do you cater for vegans and vegetarians?
Yes, we always make sure that there are vegan and vegetarian meals available on the restaurant menu.
Do you cater for people that need gluten-free options or those with celiac disease?
Yes we can cater for any dietary requirements, the menu is mostly Gluten free.
What are your private dining options?

How can I get information about holding my wedding at Cupitt’s Estate?
We are currently not taking bookings for weddings at Cupitt’s Estate.
Do you have a service fee?
We do not have a service fee on our bills. Any tips are discretionary and are shared amongst the service team and chefs evenly.
Do you operate two sittings?
Yes, we are currently operating two 90 minute sittings in the restaurant for dinner and lunch.
I think I have been overcharged, how can I get a refund?
Please send us an email with your name, contact email, and phone number, along with the date and time of your transaction and any other details – including payment method, or a copy of the receipt – which may assist us in locating the purchase. Our team will then investigate for you and aim to respond within 72 hours.
What do I do if I am running late for my reservation?
It is important to let us know if you are running late, as your table may be booked for another reservation after your seating. Please call us on 4455 7888 to advise delay; otherwise, we will hold the table for a period of 15 minutes.
What is the dress code for Cupitt’s Estate Restaurant?
The dress code in each of our restaurants is smart casual. However, some guests choose to dress more formally, depending on the occasion.
What is the dress code for casual dining areas?
The dress code in our casual dining area is relaxed. Generally speaking, footwear must be worn at all times and singlets should be avoided, but please note that all guest entry in our venues is subject to the discretion of our management.
How do I cancel my third party promoter ticket?
Please note that these are third-party issuers, so ticket holders should refer to the terms and conditions listed on their ticket, or through the relevant third-party website.
How do I join the VIP Wine Club?
There is no fee to join the VIP Wine Club. However, to join the club you do need to commit to buying 6 bottles in one transaction and subscribe to an ongoing wine delivery of three times per year (6 bottles each 4 months). All wine will be discounted by 20% on all purchases, all year round.
Flexibility on what you receive for your first half dozen – you have the option of winemakers selection, mixed white, mixed red or make your own selection. You may indicate your preferences for future cases.

Can I visit the Winery/Brewery/Cheesemaking facility?
We are currently not running tours due to construction activity.
Can I visit the Cellar Door Tasting room when I visit the Restaurant?
If you are booked in for lunch, the tasting room is open from 10am – 5pm daily, bookings are recommended.
For dinner reservations, the Cellar Door is closed. Our staff will be happy to assist you if you would like to try a wine and take home some wine and beer.
Do you offer cheese tasting?
We have a cheese plate and grazing platter available for sale daily to be enjoyed on-site and can be ordered at the bar or restaurant. You can buy our range of cheeses to take home with you. Head to the Cellar Door from 10am to 5pm daily to purchase.
Can I buy wholesale wine?
Cellar Door is for retail sales only. Any wholesale or business enquiries should be directed to our Sales Manager via email.
